Angelina Jolie meets pope after Vatican screening of her film

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie met Pope Francis on Thursday after a screening at the Vatican of her film Unbroken, the Vatican said.
The pope was not present at the screening but Jolie, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and two of her children met him briefly afterwards, a spokesman said. Her husband Brad Pitt was not present.
Jolie, 39, directed the film about American Olympian and World War Two hero Louis Zamperini, whose plane was shot down over the Pacific during World War Two.
It tells the story of his survival in a raft for nearly two months and his later ordeal as an inmate in prisoner of war camps.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Relationship: Hollywood Couple Is NOT Heading Toward Divorce?

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt

The two were recently seen at their daughter's soccer game in Los Angeles last weekend.

The two were spotted embracing each other as they leaned in for a kiss, both with huge smiles on their face.
The two have been under speculation recently that maybe their marriage wasn't working out as they had hoped.
Franchise Herald previously mentioned that there were a few reports saying the couple could be headed for a separation.
The two have been together for nearly a decade, but have only been married seven months. Could tying the knot have changed their relationship?
According to the report, the newest reason they could be splitting is because of stress. The two have allegedly been facing "months of tension and arguments."
To help salvage the marriage, the two apparently went on a secret trip last month.
"Brad and Angelina went on a make-or-break vacay to Crested Butte, Colorado, in February," a source said. "They thought the getaway could be an antidote to all the problems and stress of the past few months."
The couple also seems to be on different pages when it comes to parenting.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton's Wedding Photos Finally Surface: She Wore Jeans!

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas is bound to resurface later — especially if you're one of the most famous movie stars on the planet. It was May 5, 2000, when Angelina Jolie flitted off to that famed Nevada city to marry Billy Bob Thornton, but snapshots from their wedding have just surfaced for the first time now. (You can thank the minister who performed the ceremony for the trip down memory lane.)
Just to refresh, 15 years ago, Jolie was still more of a wild child than a maternal goddess, which might explain her ultra-relaxed garb for the big event. Clad in baggy jeans, a sleeveless gray tank, and… umm… are those clogs?!, the actress completed her wedding day style with a bare face and her signature dark locks tied back in a ponytail. Her groom was equally casual, sporting a printed shirt and a trucker hat.
The Reverend Jim Hamilton remembered his surprise when the Hollywood couple strolled into the Little Church of the West on a Friday afternoon.
"They walked in and I recognized her immediately," Hamilton explained to the Daily Mail. "She was really big at that time, of course, she still is, and Billy Bob, I didn't recognize him at first. He had a John Deere hat on. I looked at the marriage certificate and I turned around and said, 'Billy Bob, I loved you in Sling Blade.'"
So, once the small talk was out of the way, what was the actual ceremony like?

"Angelina walked down the aisle to 'Here Comes the Bride' carrying a rose and carnation bouquet," the minister remembered. "They slipped in and out. That's what they wanted to do. There wasn't anybody else there other than our chapel photographer and one of their videographers [Harve Cook]. He was the best man and he signed their license."
"We just had a ball, it was very quiet, very peaceful," Hamilton recalled before adding, "They were both very composed and neither one of them were nervous." He also noted that Angelina was "very calm in her voice" while saying her vows. According to the minister, Jolie and Thornton opted for the "Beginning Package" at the church, said the "regular vows," and exchanged "very plain" rings. "They weren't anything fancy," Hamilton said.

The minister didn't get the impression that the pair had put much thought or planning into this little detour, bet he felt confident they "were very, very sober" as they entered into holy matrimony.
"They'd been at a movie shoot up in Utah and they were actually on their way back to Beverly Hills," he explained. "Personally I don't think they had really planned it out for long, I think it was a spur of the moment deal but I'm not sure. I didn't ask, 'Oh what made you decide to get married?' It was my job to marry them."
After the service, the minister believes the Billy Bob took his fifth wife for one quick night at the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay before heading back to California.
The marriage, which Thornton recently referred to as "a crazy time," ended less than two years later and, shortly after that, Jolie moved on to her Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Brad Pitt. Considering that she and Brad have now clocked a decade together, share six kids, and wed last summer in a lavish ceremony in France (that was pretty much the polar opposite of this Vegas affair), we think it's a safe bet that in the world of Angelina Jolie, these vintage pics are but a blip on the romantic history radar.
Meanwhile, Thornton married wife No. 6 in October 2014.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to adopt again, 'Woman's Day' reports

Family way: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly set to adopt a child from Syria.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are planning to adopt another child.
According to a paid, anonymous "charity worker" who spoke to  Woman's Day last month, the couple are reportedly planning to welcome a two-year-old boy from Syria into their family after months of negotiations.
Jolie, who is special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, allegedly met the toddler, named "Moussa" during one of her recent visits to the war-torn areas of the Middle East.
"Angelina heard about him from a translator and she was obviously upset, but Moussa was just beaming from ear to ear and when he saw she was wiping tears from her eyes he toddled up to her and gave her a hug and it was a very emotional moment and everyone was suddenly laughing and smiling," the magazine's source said.

"She kissed him on the top of his head and then they were basically inseparable for the rest of the visit."
As well as three biological children, the Pitt-Jolies have also adopted three other children from Third World countries, Cambodian-born Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, from Vietnam and Zahara, 9, from Ethiopia.
The couple married in a secret ceremony last year, where the six children decorated her Atelier Versace veil.
News of the proposed adoption is now gaining traction in the US, with In Touch claiming the "Brangelina" brood will soon be seven.
Having recently returned from a tour of Iraq in late January, Jolie penned an op-ed for The New York Times about the plight of the people in the region and the terror extremist groups such as Islamic State are unleashing on displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees.
"I have visited Iraq five times since 2007, and I have seen nothing like the suffering I'm witnessing now," she wrote in the piece titled, "A New Level of Refugee Suffering".
"For many years I have visited camps, and every time, I sit in a tent and hear stories. I try my best to give support. To say something that will show solidarity and give some kind of thoughtful guidance. On this trip I was speechless."

Angelina Jolie NOT Putting Off Cancer Surgery for Another Baby

Angelina Jolie NOT Putting Off Cancer Surgery for Another Baby

Contrary to circulating rumors, Angelina Jolie is not putting off cancer surgery in order to get pregnant again before she turns 40. National Enquirer previously reported that Brad Pitt was upset after knowing his wife dodged cancer surgery to have another baby.

A so-called "source" told the tabloid, "The surgery would be a preventative step that she's already told the press she will take. But now she's put the brakes on it." According to the tabloid, the "Maleficent" actress "hears her biological clock ticking" and is "convinced that having another child will strengthen her marriage."

Another insider said, "She and Brad spend so little time together because of their careers. She feels that a final baby before she turns 40 would somehow give them the romantic restart she yearns for." However, the insider said Brad was upset about it. "Brad is desperate for Angelina to have the surgery," the insider explained, "He wants her to see the bigger medical picture."

Gossip Cop was quick to come up with a denial to the report though. The site cited its own source, saying that the story was "totally false."

Recently, Angelina was also rumored to have adopted another child. According to OK!, The "Salt" actress and her husband adopted a child from Africa. An insider said, "They've agreed to adopt a child from Kenya. They're really excited about the future. Their happiest moments revolved around their kids."

The insider added that the power couple "have a strong connection to Africa" because Shiloh was born in Namibia and Zahara was adopted in Ethiopia. The insider claimed Zahara approved the adoption. "Zahara loves the idea of having a sibling who shares her heritage," the insider added.

Angelina and Brad's representatives haven't commented on the report yet.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Adopts Another Baby From Kenya To Save Their Marriage

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the Cannes film festival. 2007.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wants to adopt another baby from Kenya. By Hollywood standards, having six kids could already be considered a big family, but apparently Brangelina wants more!
According to OK! Magazine, the power couple are thinking of adopting another baby from Kenya. They would reportedly finalize the details when they get to the country to shoot the film “Africa.”
One might wonder why Brad and Angelina want to adopt another baby. After all they already have three adopted children: Maddox from Cambodia, Zahara from Ethiopia, and Pax from Vietnam. An insider revealed to the magazine that the couple’s “happiest moments revolved around their kids.” Good thing all their kids are also on board and even excited of the prospect of having a new addition to the family. Zahara was reportedly thrilled to have a sibling “who shares her heritage.”
With this news, rumors of divorce between Brad and Angelina could finally be put to rest. In recent days, it was alleged that Brangelina were having marital problems. It was said that the couple recently took a “make-or-break vacation” in an effort to save their marriage. Reports say that the couple wanted to get away from all the stress of the past months.
Or perhaps, this could be another step that the couple thought off to rekindle the flame in their relationship? This is not the first time that Brad and Angelina had expressed intent in adopting another child.
Just last month, HollywoodLife.com reported that they are under “top secret” negotiations to adopt a two-year-old boy from Syria. The source revealed that Angelina met the little boy when he was visiting Turkey as a United Nations Ambassador. The “Maleficent” star was said to share a “very emotional” moment when she first met the child. The two reportedly had a connection and Angelina decided to adopt him immediately. We wonder what changed her mind.

Angelina Jolie's interviews with ISIS victims will tear you apart

Angelina Jolie's interviews with ISIS victims will tear you apart (VIDEO)

Angelina Jolie puts our souls in check with a new series of harrowing interviews from victims of ISIS.
The actress and humanitarian superstar spoke with women of the Yazidi minority group, who have been targeted in genocide-type attacks by ISIS, on behalf of the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees. Jolie serves as a UNHCR Special Envoy and hosted the series of interviews.
Amnesty International reports that "hundreds and possibly thousands" of Yazidi women and girls have been sold into sexual slavery by ISIS. Tens of thousands of Yazidis have been displaced from their homes in northern Iraq.
The main ISIS offensive began in August 2014, targeting many Yazidis for slaughter based on differing religious beliefs. The Islamists view all Yazidis as devil worshippers, according to Vox.

In a UN report, ISIS is described as invading one Yazidi village called Khocho and killing all males 10 years of age and older.
The women featured in this video have escaped ISIS capture and are now living in an abandoned building "just 10 kilometers from the front line," Jolie explains in the series.
"If you want to do anything for us, please release my father, my sister and my brothers," one little boy, whose face was blurred in the video, explains. "We don't want anything else from you. We need you to help us." His mother cries as he speaks.

Three of the boy's brothers, two of his sisters and his father were all taken captive by Daesh, according to his mother, Nazema. "Daesh" is the term much of the world uses instead of ISIS, since the name "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" can be misleading. ISIS is a terrorist group and not a state.
