Angelina Jolie's interviews with ISIS victims will tear you apart

Angelina Jolie's interviews with ISIS victims will tear you apart (VIDEO)

Angelina Jolie puts our souls in check with a new series of harrowing interviews from victims of ISIS.
The actress and humanitarian superstar spoke with women of the Yazidi minority group, who have been targeted in genocide-type attacks by ISIS, on behalf of the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees. Jolie serves as a UNHCR Special Envoy and hosted the series of interviews.
Amnesty International reports that "hundreds and possibly thousands" of Yazidi women and girls have been sold into sexual slavery by ISIS. Tens of thousands of Yazidis have been displaced from their homes in northern Iraq.
The main ISIS offensive began in August 2014, targeting many Yazidis for slaughter based on differing religious beliefs. The Islamists view all Yazidis as devil worshippers, according to Vox.

In a UN report, ISIS is described as invading one Yazidi village called Khocho and killing all males 10 years of age and older.
The women featured in this video have escaped ISIS capture and are now living in an abandoned building "just 10 kilometers from the front line," Jolie explains in the series.
"If you want to do anything for us, please release my father, my sister and my brothers," one little boy, whose face was blurred in the video, explains. "We don't want anything else from you. We need you to help us." His mother cries as he speaks.

Three of the boy's brothers, two of his sisters and his father were all taken captive by Daesh, according to his mother, Nazema. "Daesh" is the term much of the world uses instead of ISIS, since the name "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" can be misleading. ISIS is a terrorist group and not a state.
