A childhood home of actress Angelina Jolie Pitt is listing for $2.049 million, according to real-estate agent Richard Ellis of Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty.
The four-bedroom midcentury modern measures about 4,000 square feet, and sits on roughly 2 acres on the aptly named Woods Road in the rural enclave of Snedens Landing in Rockland County, New York, according to Mr. Ellis, who is listing the property with Brandon Wagner, also of Ellis Sotheby’s.
According to property records, Ms. Jolie Pitt’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, owned the house in the 1980s. Mr. Ellis, who specializes in Snedens Landing properties, said Ms. Jolie Pitt lived there as a child with her mother and brother, and attended elementary school in the area. “Everyone in the neighborhood always says that,” he added.
According to “Angelina Jolie: A Biography,” Ms. Jolie Pitt was born in Los Angeles, but moved to Snedens Landing after Ms. Bertrand split from her father, actor Jon Voight. The family later moved back to Los Angeles, where Ms. Jolie Pitt attended high school. Ms. Jolie Pitt wasn’t available for comment.
Built in the 1950s, the house was purchased less than a year ago by conductor and house-flipper Eugene Kohn. Mr. Kohn, who has flipped roughly 15 homes over the years, said he paid about $1.2 million for the house and renovated it, replacing the fixtures and removing the paint from the redwood paneling and pine ceiling. “My style is to simplify and restore to the original condition,” he said.
